Ms. Komal Anil Patil is a Public Health Professional with Masters in Social Work from Karnataka State Open University (Mysore) and also possesses additional qualification of Bachelors of Journalism (Print Media) and a Diploma in Aviation Services & Hospitality Management. I m an exceptionally focused Public Health Professional with a stellar career experience in both Nonprofit NGO’s as well as in major medical college & hospital in Mumbai. I adept to an environment that promotes team efforts & provide opportunity for value based growth as well as career advancement while making a significant contribution to employer organization. I have the ability to explain complicated medical & social work procedures in a clear & professional manner to a variety of professional & non-professional audiences. Currently I’m working with Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre as a Health Educator since August 2019.
Previously I was associated with Deepam Education Society for Health (DESH) as a Master Trainer in HAPPY Project from 23rd July 2018 – 8th June 2019. The nature of my overall work experience in this organization is to promote health & well-being by imparting Social Health Education (SHE), emphasizing the enhancement of social skills & life skills.
Previously I was associated with National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) & Mumbai District AIDS Control Society (MDACS) from 2017- 2018 in an Integrated Counseling & Testing Center (ICTC) as “ICTC Counselor” For HIV / AIDS (Care and support program and posted in Seth GSMC & KEM Hospital in an NABL Accredited State Reference Laboratory of Department of Microbiology, Mumbai.
I have also explored career opportunities in social work, particularly associated with the Sanjeevandeep Paraplegic Foundation where the aim & mission of the foundation was to work for the paraplegics, to rehabilitate, provide total health care facilities for paraplegics, the severely orthopedically disabled youths, adolescents & young adults as well as their mental health, to encourage & motivate them to be self-confident, self-reliant & self-sufficient.
A brief tenure of On field experience while in Humsafar Trust I have gained experience in the three Targeted Interventions (TIs) supported by NACO-MDACS which aim to reduce HIV/STI prevalence among Men who have Sex with Men (MSM) & TG/ Hijra communities by promoting safer sex practices among MSM & TG groups, improve access to government health care facilities & create enabling environment for MSM/TGs on selected sites of Mumbai district
I would like to enhance the breadth of my healthcare knowledge, management abilities, research field work and open doors of diversified specializations and career growth. On long term career front, I would wish to be associated and work closely with esteemed organization.
