Professional Experience:
I am currently working with Deutsche Gesellschaft Für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH since 2022. It is funded by German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The project is on Sustainable Aquaculture implemented in Assam and Odisha. I have coordinated and facilitated the implementation of a sustainable aquaculture project targeting beneficiaries including fisher folks, fish value chain actors, and members of farmer institutions such as farmer producer organizations, farmer producer companies, or self-help groups. Additionally supported in collaboration with both non-profit organizations and government entities such as the Fishery Department of Assam and Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission to ensure effective project execution. I was also responsible for overseeing project communication activities, ensuring adherence to company communication guidelines and standards. My job responsibilities also included providing guidance to project partners on considering gender inclusivity and encouraged the adoption of a gender lens perspective in project implementation.
I have worked for 2 years with Assam State Biodiversity Board under Assam Forest Department in a National Mission for Himalayan Studies (NMHS) project. I have Organize and conduct mass awareness programs for biodiversity conservation among school students and community members. I have also organized community alternative livelihood capacity building and training program for community living in and around protected areas to reduce dependency on forest resources as well as provide alternate and sustainable income source. In the absence of admin support I have conducted procurement related work (preparing tender document etc.) and
other administerial work related to project implementation and management.
I have done my internship and volunteering for a year with WWF India (AAPSO) and nearly 2 years with Kaziranga Wildlife Society. My job role was mainly Documentation, report making, coordinating and assigning tasks to the volunteers. I also helped organize various events and community outreach programs related to conservation and wildlife.
Education:
I have completed Masters in Environmental Science from Tezpur University in 2015.
