Professional Experience: |
Completed 1 year and 1 month (October’16 – November ’17) at Center for Science and Environment, New Delhi in the Water and Sanitation sector. Analysed and evaluated the Sanitation Value Chain in Bodhgaya, Bansberia and Bongaon. Have produced Shit Flow Diagram Reports for the 3 cities as a result of the research conducted. Conducted extensive household surveys, key informant interviews and focus group discussions with relevant stakeholders and government officials in the cities mentioned. Have also conducted similar surveys and interviews for the creation of Model City Sanitation Plans for Bijnor and Bodhgaya. Created a video documentary on “How to make a Shit Flow Diagram” by writing the script for it and gave the voice over for the film.
Prior to this, have interned at Clean Technologies Pvt Ltd, Bangalore for 3 months (Jan - March 2016). Worked in the Environment Impact Assessment Sector where I had the opportunity to work with clients such as Cipla Pharmaceuticals and Prestige Constructions Ltd. Analysed feasibilty reports, TOR's and EIA reports.

I completed my MTech in Environment Science and Technology from Thapar University, Patiala-Punjab.I did my Mtech Project at Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Chennai.The title of my Project was "In situ bioremediation of Chromium contaminated soil using a novel cationic lipopeptide biosurfacatnt from Alcaligenes aquatilis sp."
Completed my B.E in Biotechnology from New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore.The title of my B.E. final year project was
"Comparitive studies on chemical and biological deinking trials of photocopy paper".
Environment Science as a subject was introduced to me in high school when I studied at Bethany High School in Bangalore for 3 years. I completed my 11th and 12th std at M.E.S Indian School, Doha-Qatar.

My Mtech Thesis paper, as a result of being presented at the 5th Icon SWM 2015 Program, IISc, Bangalore by the co-author of our paper. (November 2015) has been published in the journal of Procedia Environment Sciences. Title of the published paper - "Utilization of Chicken Tallow for the production of Cationic Biosurfactant and thereof for decontamination of Cr(III) containing
soil”.
