Worked with Institute for Gender Justice (Non-Profit Organization) as Secretary General from August 2013-December 2015. Handled various projects (related to rural empowerment, women empowerment, mental health, HIV/AIDS) in different capacities. Spearheaded a project Nirbhoy Gram to empower 3000 Indo-Bangladesh border villages as its National Coordinator

Headed a Shelter Home Sudinalay for mentally challenged women as its Executive Director

Took charge of Arogyam Ayurveda Hospitals in Kerala to raise funds for other ongoing projects.


Worked with Centre of Excellence in HIV/AIDS (a unit of National AIDS Control Organization) at Maulana Azad Medical College as Research Officer from July 2009 - July 2013.
Education:
Submitted (viva awaited) my PhD thesis in Social Work with specialization in Public Health from Department of Social Work, Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi. Topic of PhD is "Psycho-social factors influencing the lives of widows living with HIV/AIDS and their children"


Completed Masters in Psychology with specialization in Clinical Psychology in 2009 from University of Delhi (Faculty of Arts, North Campus).

Completed Bachelor’s Degree in B.A. (Honors) Psychology in 2007 from Zakir Husain College, University of Delhi.


Affiliations and Achievements:
I am a member of New Delhi – New York Policy Task Force on Homelessness. This task force, constituted in August 2013, is a voluntary group of experts and serves as an advocacy group for the homeless of both the cities.


Conferred with “Peace Ambassador” Award at the International Leadership Conference on “Universal Principles of Peace and Leadership: A New Paradigm for Building a World of Peace” held at Manila, Philippines in January 2013.

I was part of discussion, led by Nirbhoy Gram, entitled, “Angst Within: Brutal Assassination of Damini and Other Young Girls; Devastating Tales of Breach of Promise of Justice in South Asia and Recent Community Outrage Against Rape, Trafficking and Sexual Violence in India” during a conference at Silver School of Social Work, New York University, in June 2013

I was the Director for International Services at District Administration Council in District Rotaract Team. The Rotaract clubs are youth wing of Rotary Clubs and are involved in various community service activities. I was also appointed as the President of Rotaract Club of Delhi Akash from 1 July, 2008 to 30 June, 2009 and again from 1 July 2009 to 30 June, 2010
