Professional Experience: |
As an Indian mid-career professional engaged in environmental reform over the past fifteen years I have employed tools and strategies of action research, advocacy and partnership with policymakers to strengthen policy implementation. The domains I have worked on are pollution prevention, waste management, coastal environmental protection, energy efficiency and climate change.
Having completed an internationally reputed study programme at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy I now have a definite edge in knowledge and skills. Through subjects relating to urban development, environmental economics and climate change I have strengthened my knowledge base relevant to my future career on environment. I am well-rounded public policy professional with deep understanding of multidisciplinary environmental policy issues. My new skills domain include in economics and policy analysis and new knowledge domains urban development policy and governance and public management.
I am capable of - 1) conceptualising and guiding methodologically rigorous policy research; 2) smartly consuming policy research and applying the knowledge for policy settings covering the domain energy, environment and climate, 3) generating actionable recommendations for policy makers and practitioners alike and; 4) working directly with the national and state governments to design and implement progressive policy and implementation strategies for priorities like mitigating climate change bringing my collective experience in multiple sectors.
I seek employment in international non-profit organisations and development agencies such as UNDP and ADB. I hope to be employed in leadership roles in programmes and projects that support the implementation of activities relating to INDCs, energy security and efficiency and low carbon development agendas.
