I've been working at Mentor Together (MT), a pioneering NGO in the field of mentoring, for the last 5+ years. Throughout these years, I have managed and contributed to a variety of roles. The key elements of my role include programme planning, execution, oversight, building partnerships, mobilizing resources and networking. Additionally, I've also trained and supervised over 500 mentors. In addition, I facilitated workshops for youths to build their skills and enhance their career exposure. In my current role as Lead Program Manager - Capacity Building & Program Excellence, I am in charge of developing standard operating procedures (SOP) for designated operational plan processes. In addition, I have provided training/retraining to team members as needed to ensure quality process implementation and achievement of individual goals set for that process. Moreover, I led workshops for a few organisations to learn and apply best practices in program design, evidence, and technology. Furthermore, worked closely with external organisations to provide capacity-building support through review and consultative meetings. Over the years, I've learned a lot about mentoring and its impact on a person's life, both professionally and personally. Furthermore, I was able to work on a variety of projects and programs, which allowed me to learn new skills while honing old ones. I was given the opportunity to help the organisation expand into new geographies by establishing genuine partnerships, building strong relationships with educational stakeholders, and developing strategies that align with the organization's overall vision. I was able to develop specific competencies such as problem-solving, analysing the data, program design, program management, and liaisoning as a result of these opportunities. Furthermore, it provided me with a clear picture of the functioning and understanding of the education sector, corporate requirements for CSR activities, the needs of young adults, and areas for improvement. Prior to joining Mentor Together, I worked for Action For Autism in Delhi, which supports autistic people. My role there was to provide training to parents dealing with autism. In addition, I have been in charge of organising national/international autism workshops/webinars. Besides, I helped to promote the training facility and courses both internally and externally. Overall, my experience here was focused on working with children with intellectual disabilities and meeting their needs through specialised training. In addition, I worked with parents to train them on how to deal with their children's behaviour and challenges, etc.
