I have more than 17 years experience in social sector. However, my career started in the backdrop of Information Technology (IT) where I continued for an equally long period of 12 years before I came to the Social Sector. As is already known Information Technology involves major part of communications today. In the course of my activities, I have made plans and have helped people and organisations in building up business aptitude for applications, preferably with a business-to-business, business-to-consumers focus through IT. My experience mostly demonstrates my knowledge in leading a team, organizing seminars and workshops and planning Management Information Systems (MIS). I have also formulated and led major computer projects. My last experience in the IT sector rested with ZEE Interactive Learning Systems where I worked as a Consultant, after which I choose my experience to be carried out in the Social Sector. In the beginning I got myself involved in extensive field research work for different projects, in literacy campaigns in different districts as well as in different parts of the state. I have also been actively involved in conducting National and International Level Seminars, conducted YOGA Classes and have been involved in NAVCHETANA SIVIRS in the rural belt across the country. In my IT career I had introduced computer education in the government high schools, conducted computer awareness literacy schemes through participatory interactive school level exhibitions, organised state level sports, quiz, essay and chess competitions. At the same time, I had participated in effective negotiations and laying out plans for the entire operations of computer projects. I had been involved in promoting the business and technical environments of software companies and their clients. I had developed capabilities to effectively interact with people, for assimilating particular aspects of ideas and tempos, which dealt in a particular segmented target area. This experience in the organised IT Sector helped me in finding out the importance of the social organisation’s objectives in right spirit, which is a highly essential ingredient in achieving success. The variety of effective communications is different from individual to individual and organisation to individual. I have used this knowledge and techniques of IT in the Social Sector for organizing village surveys, implementing vocational training programs and in conducting extensive village level committee (VLCs) meetings in hundreds of villages. I have interacted with more than 30,000 numbers of beneficiaries in person-to-person basis in Life Enrichment Education (LEE) classes as well as to implement ideas for self-sustenance training programs with their active participation in last more than 13 years. The LEE component covers a number of topics starting from Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) to Financial Inclusion to SHG Management to crisis management to find solutions to the day to day problems.
