Professional Experience: |
In the span of my career, I had worked in different projects under UNDP, Bihar Rural Livelihood Promotion Society, and Foundation for Ecological Security. I have worked extensively with the SHGs, farmer groups, and was instrumental in the formation of Microenterprises which are still functional even after the closure of the projects. The activities which are being run by these SHG microenterprises consist of poultry units, vegetable aggregation models, tailoring units, pickle making units, and lac handicrafts units.
I had also undertaken agriculture-based activities extensively with the community members and successfully helped in formation of 4 seed groups involving 96 farmers and their subsequent registration. Apart from that I have done successful demonstration of System of root Intensification on wheat and paddy involving around 100 farmers. The method was subsequently adopted by the farmers. I had developed vegetable aggregation model in 7 villages of the project areas which were distant from the Mandi (wholesale vegetable market). Apart from that during my tenure both in BRLPS and UNDP, undertook the intervention of adoption of kitchen gardening by around 1500 households. In UPSRLM, I have facilitated the formation of 42 Poshan Vatika. Further the community here has been mobilised to adopt bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides through NPM shops for the farmer community.
I have been also involved in WASH activities in different project which included triggering activities for behaviour change communications for Swachh Bharat Mission in Namami Gange Project and mobilising SHGs for undertaking household toilet construction. I also have been involved in including school students for hand washing practices and implementing it on a habit scale for the school students.
I have experience of leading team on project scale and planning and executing all project activities/interventions at block and district level of which major objective was to form village level community organizations for women and lead them into federating at the block level.
I had been in regular liaison with Govt. line departments, banking institutions and other external agency for project purposes.
I have also the experience of finance and administrative functions of the block unit and ensure that all books of record such as Cash book, advance register, attendance are updated regularly.
As a part of my job I also undertook extensive field visit to ensure quality project interventions. I took regular meetings with the project staffs and managed project budget for program expenses and judiciously allocate the budget to project staff on time. Further I closely reviewed the work done through monthly review meeting and staff report submission twice a month to track project deliverable using appropriate tools such as SHG and VO level cash book, Minute books, training register, loan register etc.
In my initial years of career, I worked in NABARD Watershed project in Gujarat where I got the chance gaining community support on eco restoration issues. I was engaged in the formation of around 10 Village Institutions that would ensure conservation of the common land (Gauchar, revenue wasteland).
In my career, I have also proven myself as a competent trainer on the matters of micro-planning and participatory rural appraisal exercises. I have been the nodal resource person for training of PRA methods for the staffs of Block Development Office under Hamara Gaon Hamari Yojana.
I have been constantly using project management tools for documentation and deriving analysis for different phases of a project cycle. The tools include logical framework analysis, work breakdown structure, etc. Apart from that, I can work on different spreadsheets and data visualization applications such as Excel and SPSS.
. I can efficiently make attractive presentations and hold the knowledge of advanced excel for preparing analysis and various reports.
