Implemented participatory identification of poor; monitored progress of implementation of Village poverty Reduction committee & livelihood plan.
• Organized and facilitated special camps for differently abled people to get their entitlements like national disability identity card, Physically Handicapped Pension, Maintenance Grant and aids and appliances etc. More than 3000 differently bled people benefitted in 6 special camps. Based on the outcome, District Collector from Vellore, and Ariyalur appreciated and replicated the activity in all other blocks in the district.
• Village Poverty Reduction Committees (VPRCs) have developed Youth Data Base for each Panchayath in which the details of youth like name, age, sex, qualification, trade of interest to undergo training etc are collected.
