Professional Experience: |
My experience ranges across manufacturing, retail and services sector in the field of HR, Counselling and Special Education.
I started as a trainee in Japanese joint venture company and worked in all aspects of Personnel management like salary fixation based on industry norms and the prevalent law,disbursement of salary, processing LTA and ensuring implementation of labour laws.
Moving up in the hierarchy over a period of time I worked on hardcore HR. This encompassed policy formulation and implementation of the policies, designing, launching and implementation of Appraisal system, Recruitment and Exit interviews and Competency mapping.
Counselling and Grievance handling of staff as well as workers in manufacturing set up formed key part of my role.
I am certified ISO trainer and was given the lead role for HR with respect to ISO certification within 3 years of taking up my first assignment. HR under my leadership was declared the 'Best Department' in the final audit of ISO certification.
I spearheaded start up of HR department in a Private Company - Merisant India Pvt.Ltd. (brand name EQUAL -Sweetener)where additional responsibility I undertook was that of mediclaim insurance.From introducing to implementing this concept was spearheaded by me.
My stint in education sector involved streamlining of personnel function and also start up of HR department.Policy formulation from recruitment,training, induction, employee motivation to Exit of the employee was under my purview. I also had advisory role in Senior Management Team and also Executive Committee of the school in administrative aspects also.
In my internship in the field of special education, I was involved with helping teachers identify children with special needs, introduced differential teaching in classroom and also differential assessment based on specific needs of the students.
I also have been counselling parents and teachers as a parenting coach and a success coach for their children.
Currently, I am working as a free lancer helping people especially children deal with issues like anxiety, fear, phobia, stress, bad memories, sleeplessness, procrastination, concentration issues. Drug abuse, post traumatic stress are also my forte.

Education: |
I did my graduation in Applied Psychology from University of Delhi in 1990. Though an average student in school, I topped in first year of my college and was a second position holder in final result of graduation. Due to keen interest in the subject I went ahead to enroll for Masters in Applied Psychology from University of Delhi. While entrance exam was compulsory for admission to this post graduate program, I got selected on the basis of merit due to my performance in graduation.
In Masters, I opted for Organisational Behavior as my field of specialization though I was equally keen on studying child development.It was my internship in corporate sector in year one of Masters that pulled me to specialize in Organisational Behavior. I completed my internship with Indian Oil Corporation; an Indian public sector company.
Having passed out in the year 1992, there were no takers in Corporate sector for Psychology post graduates. So in order to get through to corporate sector, I opted for one year diploma in Personal Management from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan,Delhi. This course focused on labor laws and industrial relations.
With my first job in the year 1993, beginning in a a Japanese joint venture company in the field of HR, I realized the need to study Training and Development.I then got myself enrolled in Diploma course in Training and Development from Indian Society for Training and Development. This was one and half years course with few compulsory classes in the beginning and few at the end of the course. Rest was all practical based work from the organisation where I was working.
After two decades of experience in HR in Corporate and Education sector,I wanted to do something different where I could reach out to larger population. Hence, I went on for further education in the field of Special Needs in which I did Special Education Coordinators Course from ORKIDS. This was one year program with contact classes both at the beginning and at the end of the year. The assignments to be done called for internship with a school. Here I opted for a private school in Delhi-The Mothers International School.
To add to my experience and knowledge, I proceed to learn Neuro Linguistic Programming in May 2013; a course organised by School of Excellence in Chennai and recognized by American Psychological Association. This involves training the neurology of the person using language patterns.
With my experience of HR and counselling in, education and corporate sector and Master level program in Neuro Linguistic Programming I now work with people of all age groups as transformation and success coach.

Have been a compere for 6 years in Annual Day functions of my organisation.
HR department was declared the best under my supervision for ISO 9001 certification of my company.
Awarded highest increment for two consecutive years for best performance.
