Professional Experience: |
Over the last 16 years, I have worked across all three sectors: government, not-for-profit and corporate.
I started my career with Public Affairs Centre, an internationally-funded non-profit advocacy group focusing on civic issues and quality of public services. PAC is best known for its pioneering work in producing citizen report cards and using them as an effective public accountability tool.
In 2001, I switched over to the social research wing of Nielsen, world’s largest information services company. At Nielsen, I participated in or managed over 100 research studies across more than 10 thematic areas (as diverse as HIV/AIDS and micro-finance) in a span of 6.5 years.
In 2007, I joined Centre for Good Governance, an autonomous govt. society conceptualized and supported by DFID-UK for promoting administrative reform in India, esp. Andhra Pradesh. At CGG, I worked as a Senior Program Manager responsible for directing research and evaluations on themes related to public service delivery, human resource management in government and transparency and accountability in government processes.
My last employer was an infrastructure and social consulting firm managing a state-level health sector support program of DFID through a multi-disciplinary technical team of consultants, both local and international. I headed the State Office of the Technical Assistance Team and apart from performing administrative duties, also supported the M&E function.
In my present job, I am Head (Research) at an international child rights organization. I manage and/or support 60+ research studies and program evaluations across 16 states of India in a year.
Thus, my experience ranges from hardcore social research (mainly involving proposal development, client servicing, and supervision of fieldwork) to management of long-term technical assistance programs, which involves vendor management, quality control of technical outputs, contract management and administrative and financial control and social policy analysis.

Education: |
Earned PG diploma in rural management from the prestigious Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), preceded by a post graduate degree in Economics (First Class) from Bhopal. IRMA is the premier institute of development management and studies in India.
Major subjects during PGDRM included: Rural Research Methods, Formulation & Appraisal of Development Projects, Operations Management, Financial Management, and Development Communication.
I have also been awarded the Certificate in Sevottam Standard IS:15700 (Excellence in Public Service Delivery) by CII Institute of Quality and Certificate in Knowledge Management by Save the Children USA.
