I am Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, presently Member/ Expert in ISRO(NRSC )'s Lightning Warning System Project and Member, LWS Committee Government of Andhra Pradesh prior to working as Technical Advisor to Jharkhand state and Project Manager UNDP DSS Project on DRR & CCA, India under ministry of Disaster Management, Government of Jharkhand at Ranchi at senior level . I am an ex Colonel from Indian Army with 22 years of service in Army with vast theoretical and practical experience on Disaster Management followed by three years in media and now again back to Disaster management and Social welfare.
I have had privilege of working in leadership positions in Government and corporate sector and have proven track record of achieving organisational goal. In Disaster ,I have been involved throughout my last 25 years plus I have the honour of working for formation of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in India right from its inception .I am well versed with South East Asia’s Disaster Profile ,various International and national Disaster Management organisations, systems and their norms.I have had practical experience of three major earthquakes, Super cyclone of Orissa, Tsunami, Flood, drought, bomb blast, high rise building disasters, riots , landslide ,avalanche, lightening, cloud burst industrial disasters, nuclear and biological disasters, mining disasters etc.
