Professional Experience: |
I have experience of nearly a decade working in the development sector for cultivating opportunities to form strategic partnerships for projects that I have led. My key skills include business development and fundraising from both institutional and corporate donors, project management, donor management, inter-organisation coordination for collective grants and reporting, developing strategic partnerships, working with bi-lateral and multi-lateral agencies and strategic communications.
My last role was with the International Institute for Energy Conservation-India (IIEC-India) leading two projects; one on energy productivity supported by Mac Arthur Foundation and other on Clean Air Quality in India supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). My key responsibilities included technical management for both projects, donor coordination, multiple stakeholder liaison and reporting. I was also involved in managing government relationships for the projects.
Prior to this, I worked at The Climate Group, India and was responsible for leading its flagship programs with influential Indian businesses to transition clean energy systems. The key functions included developing the India strategy, onboarding Indian business for clean energy commitments, managing global relationships, providing learning and networking opportunities, managing the technical partners in India and funder management.
I was also responsible for fundraising to support the organisation’s work in India working along with the global teams and the India Director. This included raising program funding, sponsorships for events and cultivating opportunities to monetise relationships.
I also served as the India Program Manager for a project supported by We Mean Business coalition for an inter-organisation grant between three partners.
Some of the key relationships and partners that I have worked with include We Mean Business Coalition (Ikea Foundation), Foreign Commonwealth Office(UK), Mac Arthur Foundation, Climate Works Foundation, Shakti Foundation, Oak Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, Philips, Schneider Electric, Dalmia Cement, Tata Motors, Khemka Foundation, IFC, Yes Bank, Infosys, Mahindra & Mahindra, State Bank of India and Facebook.
My other roles include working in corporate fundraising with World Wide Fund for Nature-India and Plan International (India Chapter). I have also worked in an online start-up in London, UK in digital marketing.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Delhi University and a Master's degree in International Business Management from the University of West London.
