I have already worked in an organization Development Research Communication and Services Centre (DRCSC) based in Kolkata for more than 6 years since December 2007 till May 2014. At present I have concentrated more on finishing my dissertation paper of MSW from IGNOU. In between, I have also done a small assignment work for 4 months with DR. Sita Sekhar, Governance Research Consultant (Survey Design & Capacity Building on Social Accountability Tools) as a Junior Consultant for conducting a study on the effectiveness of Community Score Card as a tool for community empowerment and accountability of grass root service providers for a foreign funding agency Welthungerhilfe (WHH), Germany from September till December 2014.
In my last organization, I have worked with the marginal communities especially the tribal children from the districts of West Bengal and Orissa and have also been associated with different research projects of the interns who used to come to the organization for doing their project work as part of their studies.

I have done my schooling from South Point High School and passed in Madhyamik with 65% marks. Higher Secondary was from Carmel High School and passed with 65% marks. My graduation was in History, which I passed with 55% marks from Presidency College under Calcutta University. I have completed my Masters in South and Southeast Asian Studies from Calcutta University in December 2007 with a higher second class degree (59.4%). I had ‘Gender Studies’ and ‘Refugee Studies’ as my Special papers and the topic of my dissertation entitled ’Domestic violence against women in India. Currently I am pursuing Masters in Social Work (MSW) from IGNOU and have already cleared my written papers good percentage. My dissertation paper is yet to be submitted and the topic of my dissertation is “Study on Knowledge and Practice of rural Mothers regarding antenatal, postnatal care of themselves and infant feeding as per National Guidelines"
