After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, I followed it up with a Master’s in South and Southeast Asian Studies from the University of Calcutta. My specializations during that time were Refugee and Gender Studies. That course was a comprehensive primer on the theoretical bases of refugee studies while also focusing on the realities of forced migration. In fact, my master’s thesis focused on Burmese refugees detained in India and the need for a cohesive national refugee policy. I also spent two years in Canada studying E-publishing and Interactive Multimedia. These courses have given me the skills to see any web publishing project from conception to launch.
