Professional Experience: |
Throughout my entire career I have flourished in both the public and private sector. For instance during my time at the US Department of State, I utilized my resourcefulness to respond to urgent crises daily while supporting the 24 hour Operations Center and Crisis Management Support. I also collaborated with senior officials on various issues and have been mentored by U.S. Ambassadors through the Department of State mentoring program. I voluntarily took on other roles such as offering new ways to improve the Department of State Sounding Board platform and liaised with the Deputy Executive Secretary on innovative ideas to expand its Research & Development (R&D) unit. As a manager of American Multi Cinemas, I served in a variety of roles which gave me the ability to make decisions that impacted operations. One area consists of developing incentive programmes that delivered high quality service.

I am completing my Masters in Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship at Newcastle University, where I am improving and developing my skills in the areas of innovation and promoting creativity within organizations. As a business project, I cofounded a business that advised students on ways to develop entrepreneurial skills in the creative industry. Furthermore, I have gained experience across a wide range of business disciplines such as enterprise management, product development and business clusters.
The twelve month programme explores the strategies and business processes that promote innovation and creativity in organisations, including the fundamentals of enterprise development and entrepreneurship. Key modules include:
• Enterprise and entrepreneurship management • Understanding and managing creativity • Understanding organisations • Managing design and product development • Technology change and innovation management • Open innovation and business clusters
• Represented my peers through quarterly student/staff committee meetings held at the business school • Enhanced my ability to critically assess policies and procedures of new business start-ups • Improved my time management skills and ability to work well under pressure by effectively managing multiple academic and extracurricular projects with competitive deadlines at any given time
