Professional Experience:
I have 18 years of core functional experience in Finance, Operations, Administration and Human Resources of which last 8 years with UNICEF, Chennai.

I have worked in a multicultural environment with diverse organisational setups and had the opportunity to co-ordinate and establish harmonious/ effective working relationships, both within and outside the organisation.

I strongly feel that my experience in UNICEF with exposure to development sectors has given me the right attitude and maturity to analyse issues pertaining to developing countries and also towards projects/programmes implemented in these countries.

As Admin & Finance Associate in UNICEF currently, I provide effective program and administrative support and implementation of work-plans and recommendations of various committees in two states Tamil Nadu and Kerala. I am involved in preparing Operational budget and keep track of its utilization; I process program advances/reimbursements to partners, certify and authorise bills,invoices, travel claims, etc.; Involved in maintenance of office premises, equipment, furniture and fixtures, office vehicle including insurance and AMC of the assets; I coordinate and organize workshops, conferences, meetings; As Building Committee Chairperson, I provide recommendations on improving the office interior and staff requirements. I undertake audits and financial assessments to ensure the funds released were effectively utilized.

I was nominated by India country office for three months international assignment to Global Shared Services center, Budapest, Hungary to assist them in streamlining operations pertaining to ROSA region. This pilot mission helped to understand, evaluate and review transaction processes related to various countries in South Asia region.

As HR officer in the British Deputy High Commission, I headed the HR Department and was accountable for the delivery of results. Key areas of my work were policy advise and implementation, Recruitment, Training & Development, Performance Management, Payroll management.

I handled office administration and regional accounts in M/s.Phonographic Performance LItd. which involved costing, estimation, budgeting, verification, approvals, licenses, registrations and authorizations as per the policies & established guidelines of the organization. Was instrumental in establishing MIS, comprehensive databases, procedures and process in order to have internal controls and ensure accuracy, promptness and appropriateness of information. As Management Committee member, participated in planning & review meetings concerning budget allocation,staffing, office automation and administrative improvements. Handled tenders/ quotations and procurement of office supplies and equipment.
