CORE COMPETENCIES Finance & Accounts Functions Accounting/ Accounts Reconciliation • Heading finance functions involving determining financial objectives, designing & implementing systems, policies & procedures to facilitate internal financial control; overseeing preparation of Statutory Books of Accounts, Bank Reconciliation, Balance Sheets, Party Reconciliation and Consolidated Reports in compliance with time & accuracy norms • Handling reconciliation of accounts receivable trial balances with general ledger control account; ensuring that accurate claims are filed and receivables are collected; preparing debtor and creditor reconciliation statements;
Budgeting/Fund Management • Formulating annual budgets and conducting variance analysis to determine difference between projected & actual results and implementing corrective actions • Monitoring cash flows and ensuring that funds are arranged in the most cost effective manner after projecting accurate cash forecast ensuring that there is no shortage of cash in hand.
Auditing & Taxation • Interfacing with taxation authorities for timely filing of Income, Service & Sales Tax, TDS, etc. and FCRA. • Dealing with Internal/ Statutory/ Tax Auditors and ensuring that accounts prepared are in order
General Administration Functions Facilities Management • Formulating and implementing corporate admin. policies in the organization; handling management and upkeep of complex as per prescribed standards including security, vendor, transportation management • Ensuring the safety and security of the state office premises including its maintenance and upkeep; carrying out timely verification and payment of bills of administrative expenses viz., telephone, water, electricity, etc.
Vendor Management/Statutory Compliance • Identifying vendors, obtaining and evaluating quotes, negotiating prices, preparing purchase orders and contracts, maintaining stock and inventory registers and scrutinizing and processing bills for payment • Ensuring statutory compliance at all levels involving liaison with external agencies, govt. authorities, etc. and coordinating for internal & external audits
