Professional Experience:
Much of my work in the sphere of social development has focused on children's rights, and I have particular interest in the issues of childhood, gender and ageing. I have a substantial portfolio of assignments related to children’s rights (with particular reference to the Convention on the Rights of the Child), rights based development, and knowledge management. My consultancy portfolio comprises of situation analysis and policy researches to assist with strategic programme planning, capacity development and advocacy, reviews and evaluations to contribute to organizational learning, and documentation and assessment of interventions. Developing processes for institutional learning (documenting lessons learnt, developing knowledge networks, developing and disseminating the learning) has been a continuing area of my work. I have worked in different regions of Asia, the Pacific and eastern, southern and west Africa for international organizations such as UNICEF, Save the Children and PLAN, NGOs and governments.
