Professional Experience: |
Varna has a PhD in Development Studies and is a double masters (one in business administration focussing on corporate law management) and another in public policy, along with fifteen years of experience in the development sector in India.
Varna has worked with public health communications, education, governance and livelihoods, disaster reduction and response, resilience and climate change research, among other thematic specializations.
Varna's main research interests are in global development at the cusp of programme implementation and research. While insights and research rigour has always been inspiring to her what is even more exciting is the potential to scale a successful intervention and to be an advocate of an evidence-backed approach that really has the potential to make a difference to thousands of lives.
