Dear Recruiter,
I have over 16 years' experience across eight countries in sustainable agribusiness development in an international setting across multiple supply chains including cocoa, coffee, cashews, cotton, sesame, rice, spices, palm oil, food crops, dairy etc. My experience is in both commercial and sustainability areas with very large multinational organizations.

In my commercial roles, I have established and grown many agribusinesses and geographies. I have managed a topline of up to USD 300 million with complete responsibility for profits & strategy. I have typically been able expand / grow our businesses and have exceeded the budgets comfortably each year. Some of the responsibilities I have held are Country Head, Profit Centre Head, Zonal Manager, Regional Business Development Head, Sr Global Trader etc. My teams have been largely multicultural. I firmly believe that business development & Management are my strengths.

Over the course of my career, I transitioned to Sustainability roles. I have headed Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability for Olam International Ltd across Africa. I was also the Director – Sustainability (Africa) for Barry Callebaut, the World’s largest chocolate company. In both my roles, my work was focussed on working with smallholder farmers across various supply chains to improve their livelihoods. My key experience and expertise include managing / implementing large multilateral programs at the field; working with farmer organizations; farmer training on good agriculture practices; famer income improvement; farmer access to inputs; development finance (microfinance & microinsurance for the farmers as well as working with impact investors and developmental finance institutions); employment generation (focussed on youth and women); community development (ensuring zero child labor, child education, gender); farmer income diversification; environmental management (prevention of deforestation and encouraging better use of land); Sustainability Reporting (reports to partners etc); Impact Measurement; Data collection & Analysis. Managing Partnerships is key to my responsibilities. I have extensive experience managing partnerships with governments (both at local and national levels), NGOs, Private Sector, Development Finance Institutes, Donors (such as BMGF, GIZ, USAID), research agencies etc

My experience in agricultural supply chains is from the farmgate level. I have an excellent understanding of the problems and potential across the chains. I have managed large teams and huge budgets. I have lived and worked in eight countries. I am fluent in French and have a working knowledge of Spanish. I believe I am a passionate individual with a global outlook, with an interest to make a difference (to scale) across the smallholder farmer universe. I have travelled to over 150 countries.

After my MBA, I also have completed MA (International Relations) from the United States and MA (Development Studies) from the Netherlands.
I am interested in a challenging opportunity and look forward to discuss with you about the same.
