Professional Experience: |
I have worked in the Indian states of Odisha and Jharkhand on projects related to climate change and disaster risk reduction along with education. Currently, I work as the Programme Manager in Odisha for a multi-million Euro India-Bangladesh project funded by the EU and Concern Worldwide on Building disaster resilience of the coastal communities. Prior to this, as a Program Officer, I implemented a project on 'Climate Change and Integrated Water Management' funded by Australian Aid and UNDP India in the flood prone area of Puri district (Odisha). I have served as a trainer and coordinator in an NGO in Jharkhand building the capacity of tribals through the development of culture specific teaching materials for primary education. I have had a wide range of research experience with the University of Southampton and Unicef India on issues of climate change and education. I have excellent skills in documentation and writing proposals, reports and policy briefs and have won various grants from donor agencies for NGOs through independent consulting.

Excellent academic record with a Bachelor's in Sociology (Hons.) from the University of Delhi securing first class grades and the 4th rank in the University.
