I got campus placed in 2007 at Hindustan Latex Family Planning Promotion Trust (HLFPPT) - a social undertaking of the PSU HLL Lifecare Ltd. As the name suggests, the trust works around Maternal and Child Health issues largely along with a lot of work on HIV/ AIDS with NACO. I joined as a Development Professional and began with the assignment of being the Executive Assistant to the then CEO of HLFPPT. Within a year of being a DP, I was given out of turn promotion as Assistant Program Manager and managed the Rajasthan operations for HLFPPT - roll out of Nishchay project, support to NIPI and business development in the state. I was called to senior managers meet and was introduced as the State Head for Rajasthan by our CEO then. I had very good mentors in all my seniors at HLFPPT. I was then approached by Marie Stopes India to be their Demand Generation & Behaviour Change Communication Manager (DGBCCM)for Rajasthan and I joined MSI in June 2010. MSI is a global name working in more than 40 countries with the mission of 'Children by choice, not chance'. It has a clear focus on family planning and safe & comprehensive abortion care services for the deprived sections. I recruited and trained a huge team of 120 field workers (Inter Personal Communicators) within 5 months of my joining MSI, after which I went on my 1st maternity leave (MSI recruited me while I was on the family way). I resumed work in April 2011 and was promoted as the State Program Manager in August 2011. During my 2 years as SPM, Rajasthan I achieved an increase of 177% in the CYPs (Couple Years of Protection) and MSI got the State level award for being the best service provider for LAPM services of family planning in 2011, 2012 as well as in 2013 (I quit MSI in April 2013 and the award was given in July 2013). I was head of operations for Rajasthan that included administration, financial planning and management, HR management, liaison with like minded organisations and with govt. officials at the state as well as district level, monitoring and evaluation, annual business planning and results achievement through a team of close to 180 people directly or indirectly reporting into me. I then quit MSI in July 2013. I have been doing freelance work such as workshops, trainings, documentation etc. since then.

I am an MA in Social Work from The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (2007) with a B.E. in Electronics & Communications from Rajasthan University (2005). my schooling has been from Sophia School and have held offices of responsibility throughout my schooling as well as graduation and post grad years. I have been a very active student throughout with excellent academic grades as well as taking part in all co-curricular activities; except in sports (have been equally bad!). I was known as a good student amongst all my teachers with a "BUT she is mostly out of class for practices or for participation>". I always had to do everything that happened around me and none complained, as I was also very good with my studies and grades. I then did my engineering, as my father wanted me to become one, but the end of 3rd year I knew that I could not be one for my whole life. I also got campus placed at a globally reputed IT company after which I applied to various institutes to study Social Work or Mass Communications. I then got through TISS, Mumbai and since then have been in the social development sector for good.
