Affiliations and Achievements:
• Served as Guest Faculty for two separate two hours lecture for final year students of MA in Social Work (Disability Studies & Action) on “Critical Analysis of National Policies from the lens of disability” and “Community Education in the field of Disability” in TISS in 2012.
• Served as Resource Person for ADAPT, Mumbai on “Empowerment Session for urban disabled people” and for ALERT India, Mumbai on “Prevention of Disability” for capacity building of ALERT staff in 2012.
• Resource Person to impart three days intensive training to Sarva Shikshan Abhiyan Mobile Resource Teachers of District Raigad on “Therapy Services” for children with special needs.
• Soft skill training to more than 200 trainees with disabilities sitting for job placement in Job Fairs organized by NASEOH & VRC for Handicapped, Mumbai in July & August, 2012.
• Selected and trained as “National Trust Master Trainer” by National Trust, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment for capacity building of NGOs working in the sector of health and disability in India in 2012.
• Medal for Best Research paper as Social Work Practitioner on “Inclusive Community Based Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities in Rural India” from ‘Indian society for Professional Social Workers’ ISPSW in XXX Annual National Conference in NIMHANS, Bangalore on 5-7th January, 2012.
• “Institute Gold Medal” for Best Student in M.A. in Social Work in Disability Studies and Action Batch, 2009-2011 in Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
• Recipient of prestigious ‘Sir Ratan Tata Trust Scholarship’ at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
• One year experience of working for persons affected with leprosy in programs of ALERT India for screening, assessment, medical and therapeutic rehabilitation in Karjat, Maharashtra.
• Executed Six months qualitative research study for ‘Impact Evaluation’ of 10 social sector organizations at Sai Baba Seva Dham (under RKDC Trust) at Kanhe, Maharashtra.
