WORKING EXPERIENCE: I have over 20 years of experience of working with chemical dependent people ( rural & urban) and come across through various related physical, mental and social problems. HIV / AIDS is one of the major problem among drug users. So, identification, pre and post test counseling (individual, family), networking with NGO’s, GO’s, is the part of our work schedule for that particular problem. It developed a ache in my heart as I am coming closer and closer to problem faced by positive people, non acceptance from family and society is just heart throbbing.
The psycho – social management of drug-de-addiction, life style diseases, mentally challenged is correlated in a way or other. As the requirement of social, vocational establishment & acceptance (social & family) in case of mentally challenged. Need for pre & post counselling in cases of life style diseases, need for care centers & out reach working, training, capacity building etc. etc. is the requirement of above said sectors, non is less required in HIV / AIDS.
I always remained the integral part of care & support, livelihood & capacity building of various challenged fields and worked closely with HIV / AIDS positives as part of drug de-addiction management, I experienced the requirement and management of the field. My participation as resource person in UPSACS & UNODC enhanced my knowledge.

GENDER SENSIVITY: The relationship of women mental health with other social issues such as domestic violence, repressive socialization is very evident in India and is an important basic reason for increased mental health problems. As a psychologist concern with issues of mental health among women I have been closely involved with issues of rehabilitation and reconstructing of individuals life. In course of this I have been linked up closely with medical practitioners, voluntary organizations and social agencies and dealing with various socio-economic aspects of gender sensitization & women empowerment, presently I am working with various NGO's as consultant psychologist / counselor working on gender issues.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT: My various & varied assignments for the last 15 years in various organizations have enabled me to have very solid background in project management i.e. project planning, formulation, implementation, monitoring & evaluation.
Research & Organizational Skills: Thus my work experience so far has enable to me to develop research skills, organizational and administrative skill. I closely interacted with other concern agencies which has helped me to develop a sound view on the inter linkages between women, their physical, mental & social health & their relationship with developmental issues.
PROFESSIONAL DISCIPLINE: My various and varied assignments in various organizations enabled me to have practical understanding of development issues and professional discipline & knowledge of the role of NGOs in development, humanitarian and advocacy work as most of the tasks were related to development, social issues, gender issues, etc.

This has been one of the strong tools in maintaining good rapport and coordination in successful implementation of various projects.
