Job Summary
The candidate will coordinate day to day activities related to sourcing and aggregation of agri, horti, dairy, poultry, goatery commodities / produce available for marketing from project farmers in coordination with Business Development Officer and UNDP Project Management Unit (PMU). S/he will facilitate market linkages and implementation of all community level project interventions with cadres, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPO), Village Organizations (VO), progressive farmers and or community representatives at village level. S/he will be responsible for encouraging post-harvest operations set up for designated commodities (collection, aggregation, cleaning, grading, sorting, and lot creation of produce).

Job Description
• Maintaining relationships with relevant village level beneficiaries, including poultry, goat, dairy, as well as agriculture and horticulture farmers, to ensure that they supply their produce to project promoted community operated village level collection / procurement centers.
• Maintain and update MIS (as designated by supervisors) for village level beneficiaries, for relevant parameters pertaining to allotted functions.
• Responsible for community mobilization, sensitizing, follow-up and motivation of the village level community representatives for proper implementation of project interventions as well as sourcing of the desired commodities of targeted volume to community institutions.
• Execute cluster level meetings, visits and smooth introduction of representatives from partner institutions, market players and / or stakeholders with the targeted beneficiaries / institutions at village level. Keep updated documentation of meetings and visits of stakeholders.
• Assess the need and / or scope for capacity building of targeted beneficiaries with respect to developing market linkages and related interventions.
• Ensure that the agricultural potential in the region is assessed with an aim of improving volume marketed through village level community institutions.
• Build the capacity of cadres as well as representatives of community institutions on skills required for establishment and further smooth execution of sourcing, post-harvest operations such as lot creation as per pre-determined quality standards.
• Submission of monthly and weekly plans and reports to UNDP and Sampada Trust.
• Work in coordination with the Business Development Officer to ensure qualitative and timely accomplishment of the deliverables.
• Provide monthly and quarterly data to the Business Development Officer for submission to UNDP – PMU. Also cooperate in provision of data as and when required by the UNDP – PMU.
• Document the best practices/innovative approaches/case studies, etc. from field level.

Key Skills
• Ability to sensitize and encourage the community members to supply their produce to the collection centers supported by the project.
• Ability to resolve issues at the community level, and commitment to community engagement.
• Ability to work with the community cadre effectively, and to facilitate and guide them whenever needed
• Ability to work in a team
• Good communication, liaising and organizational skills specifically with women beneficiaries.
• Proficiency in effectively using computer applications (MS- Office and internet is essential).
• Willingness to support the team for relevant incidental work related to the job on ad hoc basis.


Required Experience and Qualifications
• Graduate degree in agriculture and post graduate in agri business management.
• Minimum 03 years of experience in development field.
• Experience in procurement, collectivization, community mobilization, sorting, grading, capacity building of human resource and community sensitization.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Rs. 35,000 / month
