For the STATE PROJECT MANAGEMENT UNIT (SPMU), POSHAN Abhiyaan, TELANGANA State

POSITION TITLE: Technical Specialist, Procurement

REPORTS TO: SPMU Team Lead

LOCATION: Hyderabad

Background:

The Aga Khan Foundation (India) (AKF (India)) is a member of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), a group of 11 independent development agencies addressing the needs of poor and marginalised communities in more than thirty countries where it operates. The Foundation has been active in India since 1978, implementing programmes directly and in partnership with other AKDN agencies and implementing partners. Active in six states, its multi-sector programmes include the strengthening and expansion of agriculture and food security initiatives, economic inclusion, early childhood development, education, health and nutrition, including facilitating access to sanitation and clean drinking water, and the establishment of community institutions and building their capacity to lead and sustain development interventions.

AKF has partnered with the Department of Women Development and Child Welfare, Government of Telangana to facilitate the establishment of the State Project Management Unit (SPMU) as per the administrative guidelines of POSHAN Abhiyaan (National Nutrition Mission), and is seeking to recruit competent personnel for the SPMU.

Responsibilities:

1. Review the quality of goods procured and distributed through the project, and recommend remedial actions where the quality of goods is compromised.
2. Manage the help desks, and ensure that incidents are being registered and resolved by the team in a timely manner.
3. Lead the support team and provide direction to help desks and persons responsible, so that technical support issues are addressed satisfactorily and promptly.
4. Train the district help desk, as required.
5. Help the state help desks / users in the Department of WD&CW, in troubleshooting issues with CAS software, flag critical software errors and interface with the central help desk team on bugs.
6. Any other related activities of the project that may be assigned by the Director, and SPMU Team Lead.

Qualifications required:

• PG degree in Supply Chain Management / MBA with specialization in Operations / Supply Chain Management
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in application maintenance / supply chain management and procurement planning / technology and software application support
• Experience of working with front line workers of Government departments, and training them on IT / mobiles/ computers
• Proven ability to successfully handle multiple tasks specially IT and supply chain management, within a team, with attention to detail
• Must have good problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Telugu
