JOIN CAF INDIA’S PANEL OF EXTERNAL ASSESSORS FOR NGO VALIDATION

CAF India, New Delhi – Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) India is a registered public charitable trust set up in 1998 that is committed to increase the flow of resources towards voluntary sector across the country. It is part of the CAF global network with headquarters at London, UK. CAF in the UK has been working to help donors to make the most of their resources and has been helping charities for over 80 years. CAF network offices are located in the UK (Head Office), India, Australia, Bulgaria, Russia, South Africa, USA, Brazil and Singapore. We promote effective giving and enable donors to efficiently support the causes they care about, and help charities make more from what’s given. Validation of NGOs is one of the core competencies of CAF India that works with a mission to mobilize resources for the NGOs and engage with non-profit organizations in ways that make them stronger, dependable and more effective. Broadly, the validation process includes a close assessment of the organization’s governance, leadership, program, financial & human resource management, external relationships and sustainability. CAF India validation process has been referred to and sourced by different organizations, including Planning Commission and many Corporates, to set up and run their own systems of accreditation. Numbers of NGOs have approached CAF India for validations, and our due diligence is also an instant pick of prospective donors. CAF India has more than 14 years of demonstrated track record of conducting validation of voluntary organizations for international Foundations, trans-national corporations and high net worth individuals. Till date, CAF India has carried out validation exercise of over1600 validated charities that work across diverse areas like, children, education, health care, livelihoods, aged, animal welfare and environment amongst others. For more information visit: www.cafindia.org.

In order to enhance our outreach, CAF India is looking towards creating a panel of external assessors across India who are competent, and willing to be associated with the CAF India NGO Validation process. As part of the panel, the reviewers will get the opportunity to partner with CAF India in the validation processes undertaken in their specific geographical region. In addition, the services of assessors can also be utilized (based on the individual skill set and interest of the assessors) in the NGO capacity building interventions of CAF, as and when required. The external reviewer needs to be a qualified and experienced person from the voluntary sector, having minimum 5 years of experience working in and with NGOs. They should possess relevant expertise and have overall knowledge to assess the NGOs’ work on specified legal, programmatic and financial parameters. To avoid conflict of interest, the assessor should currently be working as freelance consultant, and not be associated with any development organization or is someone who is working but the parent organization will permit him/her (in writing) to undertake individual short term consultancy (on need basis) with CAF.

Application: Please send your CV to CAF India at email address: cafindiahr@gmail.com mentioning “Intent to be on panel of CAF India External Assessor” in the subject line, with a covering letter and soft copies of the reports of similar works done in the past.
